Who we are

2nd Chances Community Church is just what it says; a church for the community. But we’re way more than that, as the name suggest we believe God gives us second chances at life, a do over if you will. We believe no matter what your past has been God is always willing to give us a second chance to accept HIS gift of salvation. People may not forgive us, but God always will, if we ask. Our church is an Assembly of God church which simply means we believe we have to be Born Again to get to heaven and we believe when that happens God’s Spirit, the HOLY SPIRIT comes to live in us and life truly begins for the believer.

This church was built in 1961 and its vision has never really changed, it’s always been a church that was set here to reach the surrounding community, the surrounding state, and to the ends of the earth. Our goal here is to love people and love JESUS. We believe God’s intention is for all men (and women) to come to HIM for forgiveness and salvation. We believe in accepting people right where they are, that’s the example Jesus gave us when HE was on the earth. HE came the first time to save those that were lost and all of us were lost at one time.

Our focus here at 2nd Chances Church is to seek people who have never had a relationship with Christ and people that have been hurt by people in the past. Our goal is to see all people come into a loving relationship with Jesus Christ and the rest of God’s people. As we say often; “Everyone is welcome, because none of us are perfect, but with GOD anything is possible!”
